Detailed Itinerary

Day 1, Saturday, March 13 USA – Athens
Departure on a regular scheduled flight from the U.S. to Athens.

Day 2, Sunday, March 14 Athens
An airport transfer has been arranged, to bring you to the Athens hotel where you will be staying throughout the trip. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax, or explore this ancient city. Overnight at the Candia Hotel or similar.

Day 3, Monday, March 15 Athens
In the morning, you will begin your half-day sightseeing tour, which will give you the opportunity to view the striking contrast that makes Athens such a fascinating destination. The tour will take you to the center of the city, where you will see Constitution Square, House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. See the Evzones in their unique traditional uniforms, and the Presidential Palace. On your way to the Acropolis, see Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic games of the modern era were held in 1896. Once at the Acropolis, you can discover the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens, such as the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon and more. The remainder of today is at your leisure to enjoy as you wish.

Day 4, Tuesday, March 16 Athens
Today, enjoy a beautiful day cruising the enchanting islands of Poros, Hydra and Aegina. Enjoy music performed by a live orchestra, spectacular scenery, an authentic Greek lunch, and a traditional Greek folk show during your full day on the Mediterranean Sea. You will have some free time in each port, to explore or to just enjoy the picturesque views. This evening is at your leisure.

Day 5, Wednesday, March 17 Athens
The entire day is at your leisure, or you may choose to take the optional full day tour of Delphi – the center of the Ancient World. Visit Thebes, Levadia, and Arakhova before arriving at the archaeological site, which has been named as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. While in Delphi, you can see the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and its Archaeological Museum. This ancient city also offers a modern town, rich with hotels, guesthouses, taverns and restaurants.

Day 6, Thursday, March 18 Athens
You may decide to relax and enjoy Athens at your leisure today, or you can join the optional full day tour to Corinth, Mycenae and Epidaurus today. Today’s tour will take you along the scenic coastal roads of the Saronic Gulf. After spending some time in Corinth, you will visit the ruins in Mycenae including the Lion’s Gate, the Tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace. Following lunch, you will visit the famous theatre in Epidaurus, known for its superior acoustics. The remainder of your last day in Athens, is at your leisure.

Day 7, Friday, March 19 Athens - USA
Following breakfast and hotel checkout, a transfer has been arranged to Athens airport for your scheduled flight back to the United States.
